Carex buchananii forma viridis 'Green Twist'

Common Name: Leatherleaf Sedge, Ornamental Grass

Selected from the species which has copper brown foliage, this is a green form of Leatherleaf Sedge. Very narrow, olive green leaves with twisted tips form a dense, upright, vase-shaped clump in the landscape. The flowers are inconspicuous.

This ornamental grass makes a beautiful architectural specimen for courtyard gardens and is a nice addition to combination containers.

Although this plant is reasonably adaptable to various soil types, it prefers evenly moist, well-drained, somewhat acidic soil. Good drainage is especially important in the winter months.
