Brandon Sward is an artist, writer, and organizer in Los Angeles. His words can be read in The Chicago Reader, The Point, High Country News, and dozens of other local, national, and international publications. He is also the author of the Substack News from Nowhere. He has been a finalist or nominee for the Pushcart Prize, a Periplus Fellowship, and the Andy Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant. Residencies attended include Yaddo, Byrdcliffe, and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. He is a 2024 Lambda Literary Emerging LGBTQ Voices fellow, and is currently seeking literary representation for a nonfiction book that explores growing up queer and biracial in Colorado Springs, the “Evangelical Vatican.”
