You might have heard about Jennifer Coolidge, a famous Hollywood star who took part in lots of movies and TV series, such as American Pie, Legally Blonde, Swan Song, and of course, The White Lotus. Speaking of which, she recently won the Emmy award as a Supporting Actress in the HBO show.
According to the latest news, Coolidge is joining the cast of Minecraft, which will be directed by Jared Hess, and will star alongside Jason Momoa, Jack Black, Danielle Brooks, Emma Myers, and Sebastian Eugene Hansen. I'd say that the cast is very promising.
Also, Grant Major has joined the production of Minecraft's live-action adaptation as a Production Designer. Hess described Major as "the guy that did all the "Lord of the Rings' stuff" and added that the movie will be shot in Auckland, New Zealand.
The release of the adaptation is slated for April 4, 2025. As for now, we can only wait for more news from the team.
