Great little fish!

I got these otocinclus about a year ago, and I'm very happy with my purchase. One fish was doa, but the rest acclimated well and quickly adapted to eating repashy gel. I'd previously struggled keeping otos bought from other stores, who came very skinny and died within weeks, but these aquahuna otos were in much better shape.

Excellent healthy Otocinclus

I've always liked Otos and have kept them many times, for decades. I learned pretty quickly how to spot the ones that weren't likely to survive - sunken belly, faded gray color, hanging on the glass or on the bottom in one place for hours. That's what you see so often, especially in places like Petsmart etc. Those have been starved for weeks during the holding period in South America/US facilities, then not fed or handled properly when they get to certain shops. The ones from this company have been treated very well and obviously have been quarantined and fed good food before they put them up for sale. I order from Aqua Huna quite often and the quality of their stock is almost always excellent, but when I saw $6 per oto I thought wow, that is ridiculously high (but in line with what I would pay at a local fish store who really know what they're doing). These ones thrive! Definitely worth it.

I will always buy otos from AquaHuna

Getting otos to eat after they've been fasted for shipment is so hard most of the time but these guys came to me with full bellies and immediately went to town on the Soilent Green that I gave them.
