This Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1971 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 is a softtop model that was purchased by the selling dealer as a partially complete project a year and a half ago. Power is provided by a 3.9-liter 1F inline-six paired with a column-shifted 3-speed manual transmission and a 2-speed transfer case, and modifications include a Weber carburetor, Old Man Emu shocks and springs, aftermarket wheels, and Recaro-style sport seats. A body-off bare-metal repaint was reportedly performed by the seller, and a marine carpeting kit was installed following the application of a spray-in liner. This FJ40 is now offered with a softtop, side doors, and a clean Oregon title.

The front axle is equipped with Superwinch manually lockable hubs, and a spare is mounted out back. A new Bestop softtop and side doors are pictured above.

The 3.9L 1F inline-six was reportedly rebuilt by the previous owner and has been fitted with a Weber Redline carburetor, a rebuilt distributor, and a replacement fuel pump. An oil filter kit and new temperature and oil-pressure sending units also have been installed, and the fuel tank was stripped and re-coated. A recent compression test yielded results of approximately 150 psi across all six cylinders as shown in the gallery.
