This Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1974 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 is powered by a 3.9-liter F inline-six linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. It is finished in red over black upholstery and features a Bimini top, 15″ steel wheels, a rear-mounted spare, polished hubcaps, manually locking front hubs, aftermarket suspension components, a heater, rear jump seats, and a roll bar. The truck was the subject of a refurbishment that was initiated under prior ownership and completed by the selling dealer, with recent work reportedly including a tune-up and replacing the tires, wiring, and exhaust components. This FJ40 is now offered at no reserve with a clean Texas title.
The truck is finished in red with a black grille and a black Bimini top. It features side mirrors, a tow-ball hitch, and a rear-mounted spare wheel and tire. An aftermarket front bumper has been fitted and is equipped with auxiliary lighting. A paint imperfection is noted on the left side of the truck.
The 15″ steel wheels feature polished hubcaps and are mounted with BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 tires that were installed recently. The truck is equipped with Warn manually locking hubs up front, and aftermarket shocks, shackles, and leaves have been installed.
The interior features front bucket seats and inward-facing rear jump seats trimmed in black upholstery. Equipment includes a dash pad and a heater. The selling dealer notes that a Rhino Linings coating has been applied to the floorboards, and a roll bar has been fitted over the rear area.
The three-spoke steering wheel features a spinner knob and frames a 100-mph speedometer as well as gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 23k miles, approximately 5k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 3.9-liter F inline-six features a single carburetor and an aluminum radiator. Work performed by the seller is said to have included a tune-up as well as replacing wiring and exhaust components.
Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. A fluid leak is noted from the transfer case.
