BO4 - Change universe associated with a report

Hi,

What is best way to change universe associated with a report in WEBI.

1. Open your report in WebI (if BI Launch pad, modify mode.)

2. Click on "Data Access" tab

3. Click on "Tools" tab under "Data Access"

4. Select your query to change your universe.

5.After you select your query, you will be prompted to select the new universe.

6. Select the universe you want.

7. After you select the universe, click on "Next" button.

8. Map the objects to target universe by clicking on "..." button.

9. Click on "Finish" button.

10. Query panel will be opened. Refresh your query and your universe will be changed.

Hi ,

Before changing Universe in webI .. make sure to check the object names. If all you did was change the names of the objects in the universe then your report won't be affected

When you edit a report with the new universe name you'll see that the name changes are reflected automatically and you need to map the new ones with existing objects.

What version are you on btw?.

BO4 SP5.

Universe wish to chaneg to has same object names, just the data foundation layer which different.
