NCIS star Pauley Perrette stunned fans this weekend when she tweeted that she would never return to the series since she was so “terrified” of co-star Mark Harmon. She said that she had nightmares about the actor and even alleged that he had attacked her.

In 2018, actress Pauley Perrette left the hit primetime series NCIS after spending 14 years (and 354 episodes!) playing Abby Sciuto. At the time, it was well-known that she and series co-star Mark Harmon had fallen out. For months the two actors had failed to appear onscreen together, and it was reported that Perrette’s issue with Harmon stemmed from a 2016 incident involving a dog bite on set. However over the weekend, Perrette alleged that Harmon had “physically assaulted” her on set and that she was “terrified” of the actor.

Perrette added in a now-deleted tweet: “You think I didn’t expect blow back? You got me wrong. THIS happened To my crew member and I fought like hell to keep it from happening again! To protect my crew! And then I was physically assaulted for saying NO!?and I lost my job.”

CBS and Harmon’s reps have yet to comment on Perrette’s comments, but it’s being conjectured that Perrette’s tweets have something to do with her exit from NCIS last spring. Back then, Perette cryptically tweeted that she really understood the “horrifying” experience of being bullied, and she added that she had suffered “Multiple Physical Assaults.”

For background, in May 2018, it was noticed that Perrette and Harmon had ceased to appear on screen together. Their final scenes together were even cobbled together in a way similar to Archie Panjabi’s last moments were edited to make it look like she was appearing with Julianna Margulies on The Good Wife. Apparently in 2016, Harmon’s dog lashed out and bit a crew member on the NCIS set and Perrette spoke out against it for the safety of herself and the crew. Perrette’s most recent tweets hint that there may have been a physical altercation between herself and Harmon some point before she left the series.

In the past, CBS has commented by saying it’s “committed to a safe work environment on all our shows.” Perrette seems to have no issue with the network. In fact, she is returning to CBS this fall with a new comedy, Broke, co-starring Jaime Camil. On twitter, Perrette has referred to this project as “The GOOD STUFF!” and “#HappyPlace.”
