An upside-down photo spreads across the Israeli social media segment a tank Merkava. According to reports, the Merkava Mk.4 tank turned over during exercises near the border with Lebanon.
Israeli television confirmed the message that the IDF tank rolled over, unsuccessfully rolling down one of the hills. At the same time, claims that the incident with the tank of the Israel Defense Forces occurred today are refuted. An Israeli TV channel 13 report stated that the Merkava overturning occurred during maneuvers from 1 to 6 December. Including the 215-I division, as well as reservists from the 402 and 55 battalions participated in these maneuvers.
It is noted that during the exercises, "options for countering the invasion from Lebanese territory" were worked out.
The photo shows that next to the overturned Israeli tank is a broken tree. According to its location, it can be assumed that the Merkava-4 rolled down from a sufficiently high height.
It is noted that there are no victims and injured as a result of the incident.
According to the latest information, the cannon is damaged in the tank, and the combat module was especially damaged.
