Ronnie Coleman Couldn’t Stomach His 5-Time Defeat To Lee Priest

Giving Arnold Schwarzenegger a run for his money is no small feat but 8-time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman ensured that he made his name as one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time. The retired champion has also won over 26 IFBB titles and has cemented his name in history. Despite being a formidable force in the field, Coleman too had to face a few surprising defeats in his career. The athlete had to eat humble pie in the Mr. Olympia competition when he lost on 5 different occasions to Lee Priest, a seemingly diminutive bodybuilder who is just 5 feet 4 inches in height. Speaking of the losses and his inability to come to terms with them, Coleman said in an interview via YouTube,

“He was a little guy, I was a big guy. It was kind of depressing. I was 5 times depressed”

The bodybuilding legend also went on to say that Lee Priest’s win proved that size did not matter. It was the hard work and determination to get his body into the best shape it can be, that ensured his dominance over Coleman and other bodybuilders.
