This cultivar of the alternanthera plant is often referred to as the calico plant. The plant’s brilliant foliage appears chartreuse in springtime, and often changes to green with burgundy variegation throughout the rest of the year. The herbaceous annual features best in border edges, containers, and hanging baskets, but also does well as ground cover.
