MOUNT VERNON, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office now says evidence shows that a missing Marblemount man was murdered and a man they’ve been looking for killed him.
The department first announced that 44-year-old Justin Spaeth was reported missing in Marblemount on Feb. 28 and asked for the public’s help in locating him.
They later said that they were searching for 31-year-old James Kelly of Concrete, whom they considered a murder suspect.
In a news release Monday, Skagit Sheriff says evidence has led them to believe that Spaeth was murdered, and Kelly should be considered a suspect in his death.
Kelly is also being sought by the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office in connection to several burglaries. King5 reports that officials believe Kelly is in eastern Skagit County and could be driving a blue GMC Yukon or a blue Chrysler Concorde sedan.
Kelly is considered armed and dangerous, but anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office.
