I use a multi-layered approach for all LEGO minifig torsos, armor, weapons, and shields. I painted this one with metallic silver paint and I protect shield stickers with varnish.

All Torso designs have been created electronically and generally based on historically accurate designs that have caught my eye. The weapons, shields, and helmets are custom classics typically produced by LEGO, BrickForge, Brick Warriors, and others.

*These customs are for display but just in case they get "played with," I protect shields with clear coat or clear nail polish and weapons & helmets with a clear coat spray finish.
