To celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the founding of the Museu Picasso, the museum welcomes one of the artist's key paintings, the legendary and revolutionary Les Demoiselles d'Avignon. The picture is enhanced by of a series of canvases, sketches and documents that provide a glimpse of the genesis milieu of the definitive work.

On occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the founding of the Museu Picasso, one of the masterpieces of his oeuvre, Les Demoiselles d'Avignon, is exhibited at the museum. Pictorial structures in the twentieth century would be disrupted by this groundbreaking work, the display of which marked a highpoint in the history of the museum. Les Demoiselles is complemented by a number of other paintings, sketches and documents that explain the origin and background of the definitive canvas, thus revealing the steps the artist took and the influences he received before completing it. Besides being able to contemplate an essential part of Picasso's oeuvre, audiences visiting the show have the possibility of directly grasping the process that triggered one of the most movements in modern art: Cubism.
