Falls Church Residents Asked to Complete Survey on the New Downtown Plaza

Falls Church plans to redevelop the existing downtown public plaza located in the 100 block of West Broad Street.

From the City of Falls Church: A new survey asks residents and business what they would like to see at the new Downtown Plaza. What would draw people to the area like evening lighting, an active water feature, public art, benches, moveable tables and chairs, or games. Take the survey, available on the website: www.fallschurchva.gov/DowntownPlaza. The survey closes on Monday, January 2 at 5:00 p.m.

The City of Falls Church plans to redevelop the existing downtown public plaza located in the 100 block of West Broad St., between the Hunan Café and Hot N Juicy Crawfish eateries. The revitalized plaza will help to increase pedestrian traffic in the downtown area, provide economic benefits for local businesses, and create a versatile space for everyone to enjoy in the heart of Downtown Falls Church City. The project is part of the City’s 2017-2021 Capital Improvement Program, and funding was provided by a grant from the Economic Development Authority. For more information and project updates please visit the City’s web site at www.fallschurchva.gov/DowntownPlaza.
