Oakton Is One of Virginia's Best Places To Live (ICYMI)

New rankings from Niche break down the best places to live in Virginia, and Oakton made the list.

OAKTON, VA -- What’s the best place to live in Virginia? That depends on who you ask, but according to a new set of rankings released by Niche.com, Oakton is the 8th best place to live in the state.

One current resident says, "Oakton is a comfortable suburban area with variety of public and private schools near and around neighborhoods. Great mom and pop shops and new upcoming restaurants as well." The resident adds that Oakton's backroads can help drivers avoid the busy Northern Virginia traffic.

The ranking looked at several factors, such as public schools, housing, diversity and family environment. Oakton received an A+ for its public schools, A for diversity, A+ for family environment and B for housing. Click here to read more about the methodology.
