Paris Hilton and Carter Reum tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony in 2021

Paris Hilton and Carter Reum have been living the simple life since becoming husband and wife — as simple as one would expect for a hotel heiress, DJ and reality TV star. 

The couple tied the knot at a private estate in Los Angeles on Nov. 11, 2021. The bride and groom were surrounded by family and friends, including Kim KardashianEmma RobertsKyle Richards and Nicole Richie.

"We ended the night with dancing and raging to a DJ set. It was the best day and night of my life," Hilton wrote in a blog post on her official website the day after her wedding. "If I could do it all again I would in a heartbeat. I was incredibly happy being surrounded by so many loved ones and for everyone to be catching up and letting loose and celebrating."

Hilton and Reum began dating in November 2019 and got engaged in February 2021. Ahead of their special day, the Paris in Love star called Reum her "perfect match."

"This feels like it was always meant to happen," she told PEOPLE. "I feel like this is meant to be."

In the two years that followed, Hilton and Reum welcomed two children together. They had firstborn son, Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum, via surrogate in January 2023 and announced the arrival of daughter London in November that year.

He's an entrepreneur and venture capitalist

In 2016, Reum and his brother, Courtney, co-founded M13, whose mission is to "help founders make better decisions and win in their category," per the company's LinkedIn.

M13's client roster includes Lyft, Pinterest, Bonobos, Daily Harvest, Class Pass, Snapchat and more.

Reum and Courtney also co-founded the alcohol brand VEEV Spirits in 2007. According to Cision PR Newswire, they sold their majority stake in the company in 2016.

He worked as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs

Per Reum's LinkedIn, he previously worked at Goldman Sachs in the investment banking division from 2004 to 2006. Some of his clients included Under Armour and Vitamin Water.

His father was a successful business executive

Reum is the son of late business executive W. Robert, the former president, chairman and CEO of Amsted Industries, which Forbes valued at $3.4 billion in 2022.

He's an author

In 2018, Reum and his brother, Courtney, co-authored the book Shortcut Your Startup: Ten Ways to Speed Up Entrepreneurial Success. In the book, the two siblings provide guidance on how to succeed in business.

The siblings have also contributed articles to Inc. magazine

He has a daughter with former reality star Laura Bellizzi

Reum has a daughter with former reality star Laura Bellizzi, who appeared on the 2010 VH1 show Secrets of Aspen. A rep for Reum confirmed the news in a Page Six report just days after he and Hilton tied the knot.

According to legal records filed in 2020 and seen by the outlet, Reum never took a paternity test but signed a document acknowledging that he is the father.

"The people who this story matters to have known about it for 10 years," a rep for Reum said. "Carter supports this child. While he does not have a traditional father-daughter relationship with her, he has provided for her since she was born and will continue to do so."

He's a longtime friend of the Hilton family

Hilton told PEOPLE in 2020 that she's known Reum for 15 years. The two started dating after she attended his sister Halle Hammond's Thanksgiving celebrations.

"We just had this incredible chemistry," she recalled. "We had our first date and haven't spent a night apart since. It's pretty amazing."

He's a Los Angeles Rams fan

In February 2022, Reum and Hilton were spotted cheering on the Rams when they faced the Cincinnati Bengals at Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles.

Their matching jerseys were complete with the No. 11 — a nod to Hilton's favorite time of day and her wedding date. 

He and Hilton binged Schitt's Creek during quarantine

Hilton gifted Reum a life-sized portrait of the couple for his 40th birthday. The painting was inspired by the artwork seen on Schitt's Creek.

"It's their favorite show they've binged during quarantine," a source told PEOPLE of the painting, based on a photo of the two from Hilton's parents' 2019 Christmas party.

He married Hilton in 2021

After asking for Hilton's hand in marriage in 2021, the couple exchanged "I dos" at a private estate in Los Angeles on Nov. 11, 2021.

"My forever begins today... ✨💍 11/11 💝," the socialite captioned an Instagram post of her dressed in one of two Oscar de la Renta gowns she wore at the ceremony.

In addition to family and friends in attendance, Paris' younger sister, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, was her maid of honor, and Reum's brother Courtney was one of his groomsmen.

The duo's fairytale wedding was a three-day celebration where the newlyweds and their closest family and friends enjoyed live performances by Demi Lovato and Kim Petras and a Neon Carnival afterparty at the Santa Monica Pier.

He and Hilton documented their wedding on Paris in Love

The bride and groom captured their romantic wedding on the two-episode finale of the 2021 Peacock docuseries Paris in Love.

Following her honeymoon, Hilton opened up to PEOPLE in January 2022 about married life with Reum. 

"I love being a wife," she said. "We've been so close and inseparable the past two years together, so it's always felt like we're married."

Hilton recalled her favorite memory from the nuptials, telling PEOPLE, "I loved the moment during my wedding ceremony when I decided to go off from what I wrote in my vows and just spoke truly from the heart. It was such a pure moment."

"I'm so excited for this next chapter in our life and to start a family together," Hilton added of their plans for the future. "[He's] my best friend, so it feels so safe getting to grow together."

He and Hilton welcomed their first child together in 2023

Hilton and Reum welcomed their first child togetherson Phoenix Barron, via surrogate on Jan. 16, 2023.

"It's always been my dream to be a mother, and I'm so happy that Carter and I found each other," Hilton exclusively told PEOPLE. "We are so excited to start our family together, and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy."

Hilton began IVF treatments with Reum before the pair were married. In January 2021, she praised Reum for being "so supportive" throughout the process.

During a September 2020 episode of the LadyGang podcast, Hilton revealed she was hoping to conceive twins through the process — a boy and a girl — and that Kardashian was the one to recommend IVF and introduce her to a doctor.

He and Hilton announced the arrival of their second child together in November 2023

Hilton announced on Nov. 23 that she welcomed a second child with Reum, a baby girl named London.

The new mom of two revealed the news on her Instagram by sharing a snap of a pink Peter Pan collared top and cozy bottoms with in-built feet alongside the caption, “Thankful for my baby girl🥹🩷👶🏼.” 

The word “London” was printed on the front of the top, while a pair of hot pink heart-shaped sunglasses and a knitted toy bunny had also been placed on the outfit.

Hilton's aunt, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards, commented on the post with a series of pink heart emojis, while supermodel Naomi Campbell added, “Congratulations @parishilton & welcome Londom 💖💖💖.”
