Celebrated photographer Linda Connor has had a long and distinguished career in photography and has traveled extensively to produce her work in places such as India, Turkey, Peru, Iceland, and Southeast Asia. Her work has been the subject of several monographs, including On the Music of the Spheres (Library Fellows of the Whitney Museum of American Art, 1996); Luminance (Woodrose, 1994); Spiral Journey (Columbia College, 1990); and Constellations (Datz Press, 2021). A compendium of her work, Odyssey: The Photographs of Linda Connor (Chronicle Books, 2008), included over thirty years of photographs and was accompanied by a nationally traveling exhibition.
A recipient of, among other awards, the National Endowment for the Arts grant (1994, 1988, 1976), a Guggenheim Fellowship (1979), and the Flintridge Foundation Award for Visual Arts (2001-02), Connor was recognized with the Society of Photographic Education’s Honored Educator Award in 2005. Her work can be found in the collections of distinguished institutions, including the Museum of Modern Art, New York, NY; J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles, CA; Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, TX; National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C.; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, CA; Minneapolis Institute of Arts, MN; and the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, U.K. She has had solo exhibitions at the de Young Museum, San Francisco, CA; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, CA; Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, TX; George Eastman Museum, Rochester, NY; Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, D.C; The Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C; and the Museum of Contemporary Photography, Chicago, IL.

Linda Connor is the Creative Director Artist, Educator, and Board Member for PhotoAlliance. PhotoAlliance events have been the meeting place for the San Francisco Bay Area photo community since 2002. They foster connections through public lectures by noteworthy photographers, a variety of workshops, yearly portfolio reviews, and other timely public programs and symposia.
INDOOR MASK REMINDER
Please use this notice as a friendly reminder that CCA continues to require that face coverings (masks) be worn at all times indoors on campus for both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals. A well-fitting non-vented N95, KN95, or KF94 respirator is strongly recommended. A well-fitting surgical/procedural mask with a cloth mask worn over it to increase fit is also recommended.
