DRY BONES
Do you have dry areas in your life? You have been given supernatural power to change your circumstances. God’s word tells us “ Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof” –Proverbs 18:21. Your words have the power to cause dryness or blessings. We can cause death or life with the things that we say. Are you ready to create victory and blessings in your life today?
Luke 10: 19 says “ Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” We live in a time where spiritual warfare is all around us. We are not always aware of these things, but they are taking place in our lives constantly. Satan is active on the earth. He is roaming around wreaking havoc and attempting to destroy all that he can. Our Father in heaven knows the craftiness of the enemy and He has provided us a weapon to defeat him. He has given us a different kind of prayer than what we have been talking about these past few weeks. “Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” -Matthew 18:18. We have the ability to speak words of victory over the evils of the world. We can bind those things attacking our lives. When I feel a cold coming on, I take to the power of the tongue and I speak against it. I bind the cold and claim the blood of Jesus over my body. I speak life and healing over ailments. You can speak life into your day. God has given you that power.
In Ezekiel 37, the prophet speaks about dry bones. There are many things in our lives that may be dry, or dead. They appear as if they have no more life in them. Relationships with your family members, your finances, or even your job. In the beginning of Ezekiel 37, when God brought him to the valley full of dry bones, Ezekiel was given the answer to victory over circumstances. “ And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest. Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live” Ezekiel 37: 3-5. The Lord has given you the power to prophesy over “dry bones’ in your life. You can speak life into existence. You can speak of healing and wholeness over your relationships and your finances. You can make any area that is broken whole. This is faith in action. If you speak, in accordance with the Word of God, you will see it manifest.
Even as we begin to see God moving, we can not give up. Sometimes it may seem like things have gotten slightly better, but the situation isn’t fully restored. When Ezekeil spoke to the bones they began to come together. But they did not immediately have life in them. It took time. “So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them. Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.” Ezekiel 37: 7-10.
I encourage you this week to speak life over any area that you see dry bones. Bind up the things that are attacking you and prophesy blessings over all situations. You are about to see “dry bones come alive” in every area of your life.
