Rhus integrifolia
Wildflowers | Dicots | Eudicots | Rosids | Sapindales | Anacardiaceae | Rhus |
This plant puts out strange buds in November which sit on the plant without opening for months until April. Looks very like Sugar Bush (R. ovata), but can be distinguished by the leaves (which are rounded at the tip rather than pointed).
I’ve only seen this near the coast. In Elings Park, and along 101 between Ventura and Carp.
