The Prada Epicenter in New York City first opened its doors in 2001, and was the Italian luxury brand’s first flagship store in a series which aimed to demonstrate its creative prowess. As such, one of the boutique’s architectural traits includes an unobstructed 60-metre north wall which has featured a continuous rotation of temporary wallpaper designs ever since. The wall paper designs, created in collab with local design practice 2×4, inject new visual content into the store at regular intervals, and themes and colours change with the seasons. The very latest of such designs is entitled Logopolis, and is inspired by Prada‘s A/W 2018 Collection. The theme is a pun on today’s logo obsession within the realm of fashion, and artistically interprets the shadow that falls between the product and the logo it bears.
