Man dead after shooting in parking lot of Ashburn, Va. apartment complex, officials say

A Sterling, Va. man is dead after a shooting in the parking lot of an Ashburn apartment complex Wednesday night, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said they responded to reports of gunshots and a pedestrian down in the 44400 block of Keller Square at Ashburn Meadows apartments around 7:19 p.m.

When they arrived, deputies found 19-year-old Michai Dandridge-Carter of Sterling in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene, officials said.

This incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is urged to call 703-777-1021 or submit a tip through the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office app.
