Product Description

Neocaridina shrimp thrive in freshwater aquariums with stable water conditions. Maintain temperatures between 68°F to 78°F (20°C to 26°C), pH levels of 6.5 to 8.0, and water hardness between 6 to 10 dGH. Keep ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels low through regular water changes and filtration. Provide hiding places and live plants in a tank of at least 5 gallons. Use gentle filtration, provide a consistent light cycle of 8 to 10 hours, and feed them a balanced diet of algae, vegetables, and shrimp pellets. Consistency and monitoring are crucial for their well-being.

I honestly did not expect to get 5 living shrimp. The order ended up arriving early leaving these guys sitting out in the cold ~40F for at least 24 hours. When I opened the package I was very surprised to find 5 living and very energetic shrimp. When I added them to my tank the my beta tried to eat them for the first week, but these shrimp were way too fast. It’s been a month and a half and all are still alive, the bets gave up on even trying to hunt them and they even started reproducing. Only downside is they poop a lot.

Received 6 cherry shrimp that arrived very healthy. Made the mistake of not distracting my betta fish before introducing them to the tank so the very first one was attacked and killed. The other ones went in good but my betta stalked them and snapped at them so they eventually went into hiding and became nocturnal. 2 eventually disappeared mysteriously and one died while trying to molt so that months later I am left with only two. I guess that's why most people keep these shrimp by themselves.
