Vin Diesel hits back at body-shamers in Instagram photos showing his abs

Film star Vin Diesel has hit back at body-shamers on Instagram after a photo of him appeared online.
The picture shows the actor with his belly out on a hotel balcony in Miami.
"It is amazing the response from the journalists who I have been talking to for the last two days in New York. Today one wanted to see the dad bod. Haha," he said in his first post.
"I am wondering if I should show the picture... Body-shaming is always wrong! What do you think?"
Earlier this year Vin Diesel told Bodybuilding magazine that he looks after himself and works out.
"I'm in my late 40s now, so I have become a lot more aware of my diet and nutrition over the last few years in particular," he said.
"I do like to eat, and I do like to feel good, so for me my diet is about balance.
"My diet, like my weights regime I suppose, is very much typical for people who want agility, lower body fat, and higher muscle mass.
"Basically, it's predominantly lean proteins, lots of complex carbs, lots of veggies and fruits, and lots of water."
In an interview over the weekend to promote his latest film, the actor said he still misses former Fast and Furious co-star Paul Walker, who died in a car crash in 2013.
He told the AP news agency that taking on the role of an immortal in The Last Witch Hunter helped him deal with his grief.
"Death was a huge theme last year," he said. "There was something therapeutic about playing this role after going through [Paul Walker's death].''
The 48-year-old, who's also starred in The Chronicles of Riddick series, Babylon AD and Guardians of the Galaxy, says this one was special for him.
"The idea that someone immortal could be so melancholy. 2014 was a tough year for me in some ways - a lot of ways," Diesel said.
"Playing a character that was masking his sorrow - his loss - was very appropriate for the time, because that's what I was doing in real life with the post-Furious 7."
