Brief from client 

This is a simple signature for any work i do so will just be used as a small signature in the bottom corner of a visual, its based solely around my name - Matt Cox

Kept the colours as light greys because like i mention in the brief its only getting used as a small signature in the bottom corner of a visual so i dont want it to distract from any other artwork that might be produced for a client. Im quite new to graphic design so any feedback would be helpful..thanks!

Simple and effective, and clever too! I think it's a nice logo for what you are going to use it for. If I had to suggest an improvement, maybe you can connect the bevel/shadow effect in the bottom swoosh of the symbol to the symbol itself, if that makes any sense.
