Optical illusions are an interesting way to learn about different parts of your personality and one claims it can determine how your brain works just by looking at it.

Upon first glance, the image simply resembles a collage of psychedelic patterns, but a closer look reveals a lot more. A user on X, formerly known as Twitter, @thicks713 who shared the image, said you will either see a cat or a moose among the swirls.

According to experts, we are either left or right brained with one side being dominant. Apparently, those who are left-brained are more analytical and methodical with right-brained folk usually more creative and artistic.

According to @thicks, that what ever animal you see is a sign of which side you use more. So viewers will either see a cat or a moose, depending on how their brain works.

What do you see?

He explained: "Whatever animal you see isn’t part of the image, it’s just an optical illusion created by your own brain. If you zoom in on any of the features the illusion disappears."

While he did not specify which animal indicates which side, cats are known to be independent, creative animals. While moose are large, stoic creatures who move more slowly than felines.

After being posted on social media, users were left baffled by what they saw. Some were convinced they see a cat with others having none of it explaining they make out a moose instead.

However some were even more confused, as they failed to spot either animal with others saying they can see a bit of both.

One wrote: "I must have a balanced brain. I'm getting nothing." Another didn't manage to make out anything either, they tweeted: "I don't see either, even with my bias towards cats!"

If you're eager for more optical illusions, this brainteaser that tasks users to find the horse with no tail will leave your mind racing.
