Copperleaf has stunning red, maroon leaves. The more sun the brighter the leaves.

The plant develops narrow, dangling, fuzzy blooms (called “catkins”) similar in color to the foliage so the blossoms are almost “invisible.” (The Chenille plant is a cousin).

It does great here in zone 10, in full sun but partly protected from the wind. Prune regularly during the year and a harder trim in Spring.

Can grow to 3-5 feet.

Regular watering. Don’t let it dry out.

Fertilize regularly.

I have not grown this plant inside, if you try make sure you give it lots of light and maybe add some grow light :)
