Biography: Adrien Brody is an American actor whose Władysław Szpilman in The Pianist (2002) earned him an Academy Award for Best Actor, marking him as the youngest recipient of the award at the time. Brody is known for his collaborations with director Wes Anderson and his work on series such as Peaky Blinders and Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty.

Born in New York, Adrien Brody was the son of Sylvia Plachy, a photographer, and Elliot Brody, a history professor and painter. Introduced to the arts at a young age, he later attended the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. With the full support of his parents, Brody pursued his passion for performance, taking early steps in his acting career through stage roles and television work.

Brody's acting journey began with a foundation in Off-Broadway plays and appearances on television. His breakout role came with the independent film Restaurant (1998), which positioned him for a series of high-profile roles in Summer of Sam (1999) and The Thin Red Line (1998).

His performance in The Pianist, which involved dramatic physical transformation and mastering the piano, catapulted him to international acclaim. Moving forward from this career-defining role, Brody took on a variety of characters in films like King Kong (2005) and Hollywoodland (2006), as well as performing on Saturday Night Live.

While expressing interest in iconic roles such as The Joker in The Dark Knight and Spock in Star Trek, Brody was not cast. Nonetheless, he featured in science fiction movies like Splice (2010) and Predators (2010) and even modeled for Prada. Later his performance as magician Harry Houdini earned him an Emmy nomination.

In 2017, Brody's joined the cast of Peaky Blinders, earning acclaim and the Leopard Club Award at the Locarno Festival.

Brody has also faced his share of challenges, including recovering from a motorcycle accident in 1992 and enduring injuries on set. Among his personal relationships, he was romantically involved with Elsa Pataky and later with Georgina Chapman.
