Biography: Elle Macpherson is an Australian supermodel, businesswoman, television host, and actress best known for her record five cover appearances for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in the 1980s. These features earned her the nickname "The Body" from Time magazine in 1989.

Macpherson rose to fame as a top fashion model in the 1980s, appearing on the covers of major magazines like Elle, Vogue, and Harper's Bazaar. She appeared in every issue of Elle for six years in a row.

In 1990, she launched her own lingerie line, "Elle Macpherson Intimates," in partnership with Bendon, which was one of the first model-branded fashion lines.

In addition to modeling, Macpherson had an acting career with roles in films like "Sirens" (1994), "Batman & Robin" (1997), and "The Edge" (1997). She also had a recurring role on the sitcom "Friends" in 1999.
