Iraq National Museum - Law Code of Eshnunna

40: "There's Nothing New: Price Laws of Ancient Babylon": Two tablets known as the Law Code of Eshnunna, written in Akkadian, were unearthed on the bank of the Diyala River in Iraq in 1945 and 1947. German-American linguist Albrecht Goetze (1897-1971) of Yale translated them. Some of the laws deal with wage and price controls.
