Artemisia ludoviciana is native throughout North America from Canada to Mexico; Artemisia 'Silver King' is a cultivar with striking, fine textured, silvery gray-green serrated leaves. It prefers full sun and well-drained soil. This variety spreads to form a large patch, and is excellent as a fast-growing groundcover on steep sunny slopes and similar places. It is very nice for cutting, and using in dried arrangements.
