Stag and hen do revellers offering £700 to ‘toss’ dwarfs like scene from Wolf of Wall Street movie
STAG and hen parties have provoked outrage by offering huge sums of money to entertainment firms to throw dwarfs.
Party-goers are offering up to £700 so they can take part in dwarf throwing contests in scenes straight out of the Wolf of Wall Street movie.
The number of requests has "skyrocketed" in the lead up to Christmas, according to Hayley B Entertainments.
The company offer dwarfs for hire for £200 an hour but "absolutely do not condone nor supply dwarf throwing as a service".
Owner Hayley told The Sun Online: "They're always idiots who try and see what they can get. We don't supply it.
"All our little people are professional entertainers.
"Chaining yourself to a dwarf and getting blind drunk is fine but this is just degrading.
"We do get a lot of dwarf throwing requests but we don't do them. It's dangerous."
Hayley B Entertainments was set up seven years ago and the huge demand for dwarfs means they now account for more than half of the market.
She said: "They do stag and hen parties, but also corporate events, birthdays and children's parties.
"They cost £200 an hour to hire and the most popular service is the handcuffing service, where they are tied to someone for however long the client has booked for.
"We started doing dwarf hire because there was a gap in the market in the North East. It's really big here and we've been doing it the last five years.
"We have about nine to ten dwarfs available for hire."
A dwarf, who has been thrown but didn't want to be identified, told the Daily Star: "It wasn't pleasant but I felt obliged.
"If six massive drunk blokes demand to throw you there's not much you can do about it."
The so-called "sport" is legal in the UK and there is even a British Association of Dwarf Throwers.
But the practice has been outlawed in France and several states in the US.
A United Nations human rights committee has ruled it is contrary to human dignity.

In 2011 the England rugby team were criticised during the World Cup in New Zealand after ending up in a bar which had a dwarf throwing competition.
