This Mazda Pickup got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1974 Mazda Rotary Pickup was acquired by the seller in 2020 and subsequently underwent a body-off refurbishment. The truck rides on 17″ Weld Racing wheels and is powered by a fuel-injected 13B rotary engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission. It has been repainted white with black stripe decals, and the interior houses aftermarket black vinyl bucket seats along with a MOMO steering wheel, a Bluetooth stereo, a Hurst shifter, carbon fiber trim, and a FuelTech injection display. This Rotary Pickup is now offered with a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The body was removed from the frame and repainted white during the refurbishment. Black door handles, vinyl stripes, and Rotary Power graphics were also added, and the truck is equipped with a black-finished front bumper. The seller notes that the doors close a bit tightly.
Weld Racing 17″ alloy wheels are mounted with Accelera tires measuring 215/40. Braking is handled by drilled front discs and rear drums.
Bolstered aftermarket bucket seats are upholstered in black vinyl with white stitching. Matching upholstery extends to the dash pad, and carbon fiber trim has been added along with a Hurst shifter, a MOMO steering wheel, a FuelTech injection display, USB outlets, and a Bluetooth stereo linked to an AudioControl amplifier.
Instrumentation includes a 110-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges. A digital FuelTech gauge is mounted below the center of the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 18k miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The 1.3-liter 13B rotary engine is fitted with a FuelTech fuel injection system and is equipped with a custom header that flows to a stainless steel exhaust. The seller notes an oil leak.
Power is sent to the rear wheel through a five-speed manual transmission. The frame was refinished during the work, photos from which are provided in the gallery.
