Personally, according to my assumptions, Ichigo's two swords symbolized the power of Hollow and Quincy, but Yhwach absorbed this power from Ichigo, and now he may have become an ordinary Shinigami without additional powers.
Why does Ichigo have only one sword in the new chapter of the Bleach manga?
Kubo explained it recently on his website when a Japanese fan asked him about it.
You know that Ikaku's sword and scabbard have to be together to summon shikai? Ichigo's works the same way to summon bankai. Ichigo's long sword is his hollow and shinigami powers, but also the sheath of his sword. The small sword is his quincy powers. To enter bankai he needs to put the two together and the long sword becomes the sheath of the bankai. Yhwach destroyed the sheath of his bankai but Ichigo absorbed it. He defeated Yhwach with a pure shinigami bankai. Quincy's powers gave him a surge of power in the form of a sheath. The white blade covered in blut vene. The hollow horn represents his hollow powers in that form. Kubo said that Ichigo could return to his dual shikai if he wanted to, but that's up to Ichigo. This means that Ichigo is in constant bankai release similar to Azashiro Kenpachi from the light novels who fused with his bankai and never turned it off. That means Hell gave that Espada a power boost along with his new ghoul form to compete with Ichigo's bankai.
Power scaling would be Almighty Hax > Ichigo’s Bankai + Quincy scabbard + Hollow Horn > Ichigo’s Bankai > Soul King Yhwach reiatsu
